Applications are currently CLOSED.

Applications will open on April 1st at 12:01 AM EST.

Character applications must be posted in journals, and linked when submitted on this page. You may apply for a maximum of two characters per application round.

Please include character name, canon, and reserved/unreserved status in the subject line of your comment.

Applications decisions are given in the order applications are received. A request for revisions must be answered within three days from the time of the request for your revisions to be considered. If your application is rejected, you may apply again for the same character next application cycle unless otherwise noted, up to a maximum of three times. If your application for a character is rejected three times, you may not apply for that character again.

To prevent a situation where some characters have been accepted and some characters are left waiting, all app results will go out together after the app round has closed, ideally within 48 hours. If it has been more than 3 days (72 hours) since the closing of the app round, feel free to contact us regarding the status of your application.

You may wish to review the Rules, FAQ, and Taken Characters pages before applying. The Reservations page is located here. Unless otherwise noted, Reserves are open from the 9th to the end of each month, and Applications are open from the 1st to the 8th of each month.

We'd like to see a revision on the personality, when it comes to grammar and sentence structures. At the moment, the section is tough to read and get a good idea of who the character is. A second read over and edits would help a lot with that. In addition, modifying the introspective sample so it focuses more on Jean's thoughts and emotions, instead of his interactions with other characters is encouraged. (We're already looking at the sample thread for character interaction, mainly.)

Unfortunately, we can't accept mythological or religious characters if they're not from a fictionalized work. (Such as Percy Jackson or a Disney movie.) Our concern is that it can fast turn into a slippery slope when it comes to bringing in characters from real world belief systems. We're also currently updating the rules to make this more clear, in the future.

You may apply again next application cycle, beginning January 8th, with another character if you so choose.

Links to item information in the inventory (for at least some of the items; if there's a category for an equipment slot of similar, that'd work fine) would be helpful as well.

The personality needs to be more complete and cover more than just Crane's love of fear; we want to know how he presents himself, interacts with people, etc. In addition the third person sample needs to focus more on Crane's actions and thoughts, as an introspective sample. And finally, the linked history sample is very incomplete; we'd want to see either a fuller summary, or the history written up personally.

You may apply again next application cycle, beginning [date], or apply for another character if you so choose. You may apply for the same character up to three times in total.

We apologize for the delay in this notice, due to the holidays.

At the moment there are several broken links in the character application and no link to the HMD. In addition the application reads more like an application for the mother figure instead of the main character.

It's also prudent to warn that it's unlikely the character can be accepted to the game. After three applications, the character doesn't feel like a good fit for the game, and we know very little about how or why the character works as a well adjusted protagonist when all evidence suggests otherwise.
