Applications are currently CLOSED.

Applications will open on April 1st at 12:01 AM EST.

Character applications must be posted in journals, and linked when submitted on this page. You may apply for a maximum of two characters per application round.

Please include character name, canon, and reserved/unreserved status in the subject line of your comment.

Applications decisions are given in the order applications are received. A request for revisions must be answered within three days from the time of the request for your revisions to be considered. If your application is rejected, you may apply again for the same character next application cycle unless otherwise noted, up to a maximum of three times. If your application for a character is rejected three times, you may not apply for that character again.

To prevent a situation where some characters have been accepted and some characters are left waiting, all app results will go out together after the app round has closed, ideally within 48 hours. If it has been more than 3 days (72 hours) since the closing of the app round, feel free to contact us regarding the status of your application.

You may wish to review the Rules, FAQ, and Taken Characters pages before applying. The Reservations page is located here. Unless otherwise noted, Reserves are open from the 9th to the end of each month, and Applications are open from the 1st to the 8th of each month.

REVISION REQUEST

AMMENDUM:

Olivia's reason for her shyness comes from mostly from mostly not being too comfortable around people and not communicating with them well (so she believes). There are other faucets to her personality besides that, though. Olivia has been mentioned in canon asking using her dancing to help those whose spirits need lifting. It's also noted if she marries Chrom that she was a reliable wife and queen. She knows there is a good amount of suffering and fighting going on. It's known she traveled around quite a bit as a dancer, so she must be familiar with Ylisse to an extent, too. She also values her freedom and freedom for others. That also might explain why she's helping Chrom and the Shepherds. After all, in her backstory she was almost married off by a rich man before being saved Basilio. She doesn't always need saving, though, and nor is she a doormat. She can hold her own, but as said previously she underrates herself. Maybe she thinks it's polite not to have too much of an ego, maybe she doesn't want to stand out too much.

There is also the mature, motherly side to Olivia once she becomes comfortable with someone. She doesn't mind listening to them and helping them out when she can. She doesn't mind learning new ideas and concepts from others, taking careful not of their advice. She is a good learner, as noted in her support conversation with Libra and a few others. She mentions being able to learn and pick things up quickly -- especially dancing by only seeing it once. She also has an appreciation for romance, as shown in her support conversation with Donnel. She has a desire for a fairytale like romance, but she knows it isn't the most practical. Though, with all her romance support conversations, it shows she is extremely happy to fall in love with whoever is romancing her.

She also has a problem explaining and communicating her feelings to people. In her support conversation with Vaike, it shows Olivia strolling to say she loved him (this also goes into her romance with a male!MU/Avatar), instead hoping to show she cares through her actions. This can hint Olivia rather show people she cares by relying on her actions rather than just words alone. This also explains why she likes dancing and works hard to dance because she feels it is the best way she can communicate with others. She gets disappointed when people misunderstand her actions and feelings, and becomes sad when she really can't help anyone or feels helpless herself. To help her focus and not become nervous, she often keeps herself busy by helping others and doing various tasks around the camp.

THIRD PERSON

It had been a long day for all the Shepherds, and Olivia was especially tired. It's not a just physical fatigue, but a mental one. Dancing was a way for her to express herself and communicating without words. After all, when speaking, she always felt like she fumbled the point she wanted to get across. If she didn't fumble, she felt like she could have conveyed her feelings and thoughts better. Yet with dancing, she was able to share all her thoughts, emotions, and conviction without saying a single word. People of different backgrounds could understand her dancing. From the richest nobel to a rural farmer, she felt like she could connect to them on a personal level while dancing. She was an experienced traveller, but seeing new things always excited her.

She had connected to many of the Shepherds with dancing. She knew by now which dances certain people preferred by their reactions. Usually the younger ladies likes her more elegant moves and jumps while the men likes her more sensual, hip swaying moves. She never got nervous while dancing while doing it, but always before she danced, there were hiccups of anxiety and worry. After all, when she had to dance, to preform, there was no time to doubt. She used this way of thinking to try and understand how the Shepherds fought in battle. She saw each other their moves were clues into understanding who they were. She could Chrom's swift moves with his sword, powerful yet elegant. This made sense to her since he was a prince, the future king, after all. Now Robin's moves were extremely well timed, even methodical. Which explained why Robin was the tactician of the group. Seeing how people moved, it was her way observing and understanding them. She could see their convictions, and with that, she danced along side them hoping to amplify their desires and strength.

She was thinking to herself so much she almost missed dinner. She panicked a bit, seeing all of the Shepherds ready to eat. Being the last one for meal time was awkward, but everyone around her gave her kind looks. She could feel her own cheeks warm as everyone was staring at her. Yet she knew they were worried about her, concerned, even. Them waiting for her showed that they thought of her as a part of the Shepherd family. Having a family like that, to be a part of something for the common good, it made her happy. She could show the word she wanted a better place with everyone through her actions. Dancing alone couldn't do that, she knew that, but if she helped the Shepherds, she knew one day they would all live in a better, peaceful world. No words needed to to complete that, but instead actions, and Olivia would indeed do everything she could to help.

When going to bed that night, she closed her eyes. Before sleeping she would always worry about the next day. What if something happened? What if she couldn't do enough? It was always when her mind had too much that she couldn't focus herself. That's why she tried to keep herself busy with helping out and being active within the camp. She closed her eyes, take a deep breathe in. She focused on the future of peace and a better place for her future son and husband. That put her nerves at ease, and so she fell asleep quickly.
