Applications are currently CLOSED.

Applications will open on April 1st at 12:01 AM EST.

Character applications must be posted in journals, and linked when submitted on this page. You may apply for a maximum of two characters per application round.

Please include character name, canon, and reserved/unreserved status in the subject line of your comment.

Applications decisions are given in the order applications are received. A request for revisions must be answered within three days from the time of the request for your revisions to be considered. If your application is rejected, you may apply again for the same character next application cycle unless otherwise noted, up to a maximum of three times. If your application for a character is rejected three times, you may not apply for that character again.

To prevent a situation where some characters have been accepted and some characters are left waiting, all app results will go out together after the app round has closed, ideally within 48 hours. If it has been more than 3 days (72 hours) since the closing of the app round, feel free to contact us regarding the status of your application.

You may wish to review the Rules, FAQ, and Taken Characters pages before applying. The Reservations page is located here. Unless otherwise noted, Reserves are open from the 9th to the end of each month, and Applications are open from the 1st to the 8th of each month.

While you've done a good job of justifying the differences between his OU and AU self so far, we'd like to see a little more justification for your character's development and what led up to him falling in love and getting married, as it seems a little out of place given the character's relative unattachment to romance in canon. Additionally, we would like to see a more detailed introspective sample.

Well, personally. I'm pretty much going to heavily disagree with your idea of Eddie not having a 'unattachment to romance'. In game he was HEAVILY attached to Ophelia, his whole story line with her is a romance. One that hits a lot of bumps in the road. To say he has no attachment is kind of not understanding Eddie or the game's storyline. Eddie has full capabilities to have a romantic relationship, he is just a very awkward, cocky douchebag who does dumb shit on a regular basis. When he loves someone, he loves them very deeply, but still makes dumb mistakes and hurts them without meaning to. This is clear from Brutal Legend's in game storyline where he left Ophelia behind due to a misunderstanding.

He may have fought with her due to the drowning doom, but he was STILL very much in love with her. His reaction to her death at the end of Brutal Legend is a clear idea that he was still in love with her and knew he made a terrible bad mistake. In game dialogue, amongst his cocky behavior and comments, he still has a lot of love for Ophelia. He fell out of love with her in fac from being parted from her for such a long time and parting on very, very rocky terms. I pulled him mid-fight with her, he spent a year or so idling at fac. This time let him grow as a character and figure out he can love outside of what he had done before.
