Applications are currently CLOSED.

Applications will open on April 1st at 12:01 AM EST.

Character applications must be posted in journals, and linked when submitted on this page. You may apply for a maximum of two characters per application round.

Please include character name, canon, and reserved/unreserved status in the subject line of your comment.

Applications decisions are given in the order applications are received. A request for revisions must be answered within three days from the time of the request for your revisions to be considered. If your application is rejected, you may apply again for the same character next application cycle unless otherwise noted, up to a maximum of three times. If your application for a character is rejected three times, you may not apply for that character again.

To prevent a situation where some characters have been accepted and some characters are left waiting, all app results will go out together after the app round has closed, ideally within 48 hours. If it has been more than 3 days (72 hours) since the closing of the app round, feel free to contact us regarding the status of your application.

You may wish to review the Rules, FAQ, and Taken Characters pages before applying. The Reservations page is located here. Unless otherwise noted, Reserves are open from the 9th to the end of each month, and Applications are open from the 1st to the 8th of each month.

I'm just gonna post the revised personality here, if that's alright?

Character Personality: As his name implies, the Riku Replica is basically a clone of an existing person, and a good chunk of his personality comes from that person as a result. He also, over a very short time period, goes through a series of personality ‘changes’ as a result of memory manipulation by Naminé, giving him a very confused personality when all is said and done.

At first, his personality is similar to that of Riku’s towards the end of the first game--confident to the point of arrogance, stubborn and aggressive. The main reason for this is because the data sample taken to 'make’ the Replica is mostly battle data, so he’s literally not programmed to know anything but how to fight, really. This possibly influences his personality when he’s not engaged in battle, as he's horribly blunt when he talks, almost insulting if you don’t know him well or aren’t used to it. He knows that he’s a clone, but it doesn’t seem to hinder his ability to taunt anyone he thinks is weaker than him. However, he gets highly defensive if someone else mentions that fact, and is quick to reassure them (and possibly himself in the process) that it doesn’t matter to him.

Also in his meeting with Riku, he differentiates himself by boasting that while Riku fears darkness and is reluctant to use it, he doesn't fear it at all. After all, he’s created from it, and if he, a brand-new replica, can hold his own against the original, it has to be something very useful. This leads him to state that since he doesn’t fear the power of darkness, he’s that much stronger than Riku already and has the capability to become much stronger.

He has his memories tampered with by Naminé after this meeting, changing him for the first time. He forgets that he's a clone, ridding himself of that anger trigger temporarily and also 'remembering' Naminé, who he had just met. At this point, everything he does becomes focused on Naminé--in his mind, he’s there to protect her from anything that may harm her, which is just about everything with a face. This includes Sora, who, while once a friend, becomes a high-threat target in the Replica's mind, despite merely being a person of interest before (and potentially someone weak). Not physically threatening, more emotionally threatening; he sees Sora as someone who’ll not so much harm Naminé physically, but as an emotional abuser, someone who keeps trying to get between him and Naminé and a friend who’s abandoned her in the past.

As a result of this, the Replica fights Sora several times, getting beaten and retreating each time. This reveals an aspect of the Replica's personality not shown outside fighting: the more the Replica starts to lose, the less likely he is to play fair. He's a sore loser, much like Riku, and has absolutely no qualms about fighting dirty, cheating to accomplish his goals. His experiences have told him that not everyone plays by the rules, and it doesn’t hurt to give himself an advantage wherever he can.

He attempts to strike Sora when he's down after their fight, prompting Naminé to take action and knock him out with her version of a heart attack, which supposedly removes the fake memories she gave him. Later, it’s shown that this isn’t the case, because...

...It doesn't revert him back to how he was before, but rather gives him a more mixed personality. He still feels the same way towards Naminé, wanting to stay by her side and protect her despite what she had done, but doesn't resent Sora anymore, since his knowledge of Sora was based on the fake memories. At this point, he’s realized that Sora isn’t a threat to Naminé and starts to respect and trust him just a little bit.

It's worth noting that the Replica tends react with anger to anything that confuses or upsets him, either physically or verbally, often breaking the ‘cool, confident’ mask he puts up (another similarity to Riku). These ‘tantrums’ can be triggered by anything from someone disagreeing with him to being confronted with something he just can’t wrap his head around. It’s possible that a handful of the false memories Naminé gave him stuck around, but even if they did, the result is a clone with absolutely no life experience aside from being able to fight things.
