Character: Steve Rogers [personal profile] wontdoanyless
Canon: [OU] Marvel Cinematic Universe
Previous Canon Point: The night before the super soldier procedure.
New Canon Point: End of Avengers, when he’s driving off on his motorcycle.
Significant changes due to new canon point:

Steve will be going through significant changes with this canon point. To start off, he’ll now have the serum injected through his blood, which not only makes him gain 100 pounds of muscle, but makes his body at the peak of human potential. He’s basically all of the Olympic people meshed together in one person. His metabolism runs four times as fast, so he can’t get drunk and needs to eat more as a result of that as well. Due to being in World War II, he has learned how to lead others effectively, utilizing everyone’s talents and strategizing to take down HYDRA. He’s also shown to be able to fight well in close combat and can toss his shield to bounce off walls by calculating the angle of it.

Skinny Steve’s main concept is stopping bullies and that hasn’t changed. However, he now knows that killing people is sometimes the only way to stop someone, as Steve has been shown killing HYDRA soldiers and even the possessed SHIELD agents in Avengers. He’s still idealistic and optimistic, just also a lot more realistic and serious when he needs to be. Loss is something that is familiar to him now, during the war he’s lost countless soldiers and Bucky, and when he wakes up in the future due to his 70 year sleep in the ice, he lost his whole era. Peggy and everyone he once knew is now gone, so Steve is feeling a lot lonelier and displaced in a future he barely understands. Because of that, he’s more withdrawn and a little quieter, but still tries to be polite and friendly in a more distant manner. However, there’s some deep anger in him too because of his circumstances, but he usually tries to hide it and keep to himself. He doesn’t really want to burden people with his problems all that much.

He doesn’t have much left in the future, except his title as Captain America. He is proud of that position and still wants to help and do the right thing; he tries to not let anyone down. Steve is generally more duty oriented now and even though he doesn’t always follows orders to the tee, he’s still a soldier that wants a task. He wants to feel useful still, especially since he’s considered a relic in the future. The invasion of New York and the banding of the Avengers have helped a little with it, but Steve doesn’t know any of them that well and just respects them because they have worked with him. He hasn’t formed any close bonds to anyone yet.

In Rekindle, he’ll be frustrated that only three days went by, but still a little glad that it hasn’t changed too much while he’s gone. He’ll probably feel a little guilty thinking it, but he’ll keep those thoughts to himself. Steve will probably be more open in trying to talk with Tony, since he’s a teammate and Avenger even if he doesn’t necessarily like him too much still. However, he’ll be a bit more suspicious and antagonistic towards Loki because of his attempts in conquering Earth in Avengers. Steve will probably be a little happy to see other familiar faces, like those of his friends, even if he won’t try and dump all of his problems on them.
