From what I understand of the rule the scar is just a scar, like what a person would normally have from a severe physical injury. Quoted from here:

What happens if my character dies?
Their body will vanish within one hour. They will revive in their room five days later with the vague memory of smelling dust and metal. They will also retain some injury based on the manner in which they died, as well as permanent scarring from said injuries.

It should be okay though since the tattoo is the most worrying out of all of these.
